Absolutely folks here in Canada are the same. Many close to losing their homes (rental or owned), jobs, everything. The way the gap continues to widen between rich and poor, the lack of affordable anything; it's heartbreaking. My husband and I live on a boat now in retirement as it is an inexpensive way to live on a very limited income. We would be hard-pressed to find an apartment we could afford on our income.
