Captain’s log, day twenty-one of our first real retirement voyage. Although we aren’t totally retired. And except that I am not the captain. And I am posting this the day after due to sketchy cell service.

We headed for a new spot today, Florence Bay off a passage called Hole in the Wall. Great name.

I started the day with a breakfast of champions; a bowl of rice, beans and homemade salsa. I served it in my favourite bowl. The captain ate more traditional fare of French toast. It appears we might run out of eggs on the journey. I might have to ration them. We can always make more bread, but we don’t have chickens on board.

We had a brief spell of sunshine today but otherwise, it drizzled and was cloudly.

While washing dishes today with a hose of salt water I put on some tunes, I had to listen to what was downloaded and it turned out to be very eclectic. It included: 54–40, Harmonium, Mumford and Sons, Eric Bachman, Barenaked Ladies, Coldplay, ACDC, Corb Lund, the Tragically Hip, and Pearl Jam. It was entertaining at any rate.
