I don't go to Al-anon. I did go to a support group in person for parents of addicts in my community and I attended a couple of online groups during covid. The support group was really helpful. It was good to not feel so alone, and it was also interesting to see all the varied ways families coped (and didn't) with their situations. At least it was a place we could share our stories and know we were understood and not alone. Otherwise I've developed a pretty thick skin in some ways.
