I liked the movie but then again I read the book first and although as usual, they were not exactly the same I had been happily anticipating it once I knew they were making it. But Otto was a man with so little in his life to bring joy after his wife died; I understand his grief. I actually found it more hopeful than not. We all have our own perspectives, which is good.
