I live on Vancouver Island and there are many places that would be great to run away to. Shelter Point is a good choice. Those are not great odds that your child had. One in twenty million. I'm sorry for that journey as it sounds like it might have been a hard one.
Sometimes physicians have told us something that helped us understand a child better or explained a why question we might have had about them. But other times it was the most unhelpful message ever. Kind of like telling you to use a sticker chart and it will all be fine. Sometimes the running away idea was all that kept me from actually doing it. Like if there was a possibility of escape then another day could be gotten through. Or something.
