I moved away from north america to Africa part way through 1976 not returning until December of 1977. Disco had become a thing where I lived in Canada while I was gone and I did not understand it at all. Star Wars too. Who knew so much could happen in a year and a half? Star Wars is still a thing, I'm glad disco not so much.
