I think giving up alcohol in our world is so tough because it's the drug so condoned by so many. Those who just think it's funny when folks fall down drunk at a party or who manage to get home even while impaired. And there are so many alcoholics who somehow manage their drinking by abiding by rules they set for themselves that they seem to be able to follow at least some of the time. Alcohol is not a problem for me but it is for several family members. And I see how hard it is to cross that divide. And it is so socially acceptable to drink they find themselves being drawn back into it so easily. But I'll shut up now but thanks for writing this.
