I think many people don't know what to do in a medical emergency and others are afraid of making a mistake. So doing nothing seems easiest.

Good for you for having Naloxone or Narcan. And yes, having some with defibrillators would make sense.

My son was indeed a warm and lovely person. He was in recovery for five years and we had a wonderful time together and he reconnected with family. Sadly the draw back to drugs was too much for him. While he was clean he saved another addict who was shoved out of a drug dealers car. He always had a good heart. I miss him every day.
