I think that raising sixteen kids made us more exhausted than most and ready for a rest. I know we will always try to be there for them no matter the age. You are so right about the lifelong commitment and I know you are right in there providing that for yours and your grandkids. I think in our case sometimes we think it's all in hand and then one of them (or more) pops up with needs. Kind of like the whack a mole game. One goes down and another comes up. Hanging in there is a good rule of thumb
