Most definitely we have grieved for the life he lived while he was using. But then afterwards he was sober for several years and said that he would never go back to that life. So we lived a blissful time with him, healthy and joyful before he relapsed last summer. Although it was not unexpected, the loss was no less painful. I am so glad for you that you have had a reprieve with your daughter.
