Thanks Patsy. Yes, we did develop skills if we didn't have them already. And we had big hearts. We weren't perfect though. No one is.
I remember reading about that family who adopted that little boy you are referring to and then later made a different plan.
I think the worst of these families for whom things do not work out is when they try to find a home for their child in an unsafe way. That's the scary part. Lots of people are not who they seem. It's easy these days to portray yourself online as perfect if you choose what you put out there. And if even a home study from a social worker can miss things what might one find without even that standard for placing a child in a home?
