That phone call sounds like me with one of my kids; I constantly say things like that. Or when my son tells me he's going to start a new job next week that pays way better etc I say "I really hope that works out for you." That kind of thing. And sadly it never does. But maybe one day... And yes, therapy, who knows how that will go?
