The world is not a fair place; such a sad life lesson that some kids learn early and keep experiencing in so many ways. Recently the provincial government where I live has sponsored free university for kids who spent time in foster care which is great. But first they have to get accepted and find a way to fund themselves to live while they attend. And that does nothing for other youth who come from low to middle-income families but were never in foster care. The disparity just gets bigger all the time. Those with more education get better jobs, are able to rent or buy homes etc. Oh if we could only run the world...
