This is so true! I have been married 44 years and so much of what you say sounds valid for us. We parented 16, I had the low paying social services kind of jobs and my husband had the better paid “man’s” work that often took him away from home. Luck and love and tenacity and laughter took us through. Thanks for articulating so well.
