We took my dad in after my mother died and he lived with us for many years. He was 69 when he moved in and 81 when he died. Only a stroke a couple of years before stopped him from being a contributing part of the family. Not that we expected that but he was. He cooked and drove kids to classes and ate dinner with us every day. It was truly a great thing for all of us. But not everyone ages that way. I sure hope I do not pose a burden to my children.
